A Few Testimonials Associated with Anniversaries, Family, Friends Reunions and Gatherings
My father, ages 86 and I were en-route to Cobalt to celebrate my aunt’s 84th birthday when we realized our accommodations with family would have too many steps for my dad. What a relief when we were able to speak to Nicole & book the Ferland Suite with everything on the main floor at the same level. We loved staying here and we even changed the birthday plans and hosted the birthday party here. My aunt & family were delighted! They loved the house, the art work, the view of the lake and telling stories about when my grandmother worked for the Murphy’s (the 2nd owners of the house back in the early 1900’s). Nicole & Jocelyn you have made us feel like family. Many thanks for your warm hospitality. We’ll be back.

Just a note to say thank you again for making our family reunion such a wonderful event! You are truly great hosts; warm, friendly, accommodating and very hard working!! It’s obvious that you love what you do.
Our extended family thoroughly enjoyed our day on the island. The pontoon boat ride is enjoyable, more than just a way to get there; especially with your commentary about the things we were seeing. The kids enjoyed the ‘pirate treasure hunt’ and games you organized. The island is fun to explore with trails, swimming and a ‘tent in the sky’! Everyone enjoyed relaxing on the huge deck. Our BBQ dinner was delicious and imaginative because of the special ’twists’ you added to every part of the meal. You have done wonderful things with the island!
We would recommend the Guertin Suite with the wonderful view of the lake: spacious, high ceilings, cool (even in August) and very clean. Daily, we enjoyed cooking breakfast in our fully-stocked kitchen and your freshly-baked bread/croissants/biscuits!
Thank you for taking such good care of us. We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to coming back again!

My parents were really surprised and were able to enjoy their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The Presidents Suites was the perfect place to celebrate the 50th wedding anniversary of my parents, because we had everything we needed: multiple rooms for each family, kitchens and everything for cooking, cots, surplus sheets, bicycles, the kayak, toys for children and even water shoes for the kids to enjoy the lake. A great place for anniversaries, family, friends gatherings.

My friends, family and I had a wonderful time 🙂 The house was very homey and comfortable, much more inviting than any other location we could have used! The Presidents’ Suites was a great choice for my baby shower!

Can’t think of anything that would improve your wonderful hospitality experience. Thank you for your help and it was wonderful to be able to bring our mother out of the nursing home for a day. She just loved it in your historical home.

Last fall, we booked a weekend at the Presidents’ Suites to celebrate our parent’s 25th wedding anniversary. Jocelyn and Nicole meticulously organized a pirate treasure hunt on Farr Island. The whole family was able to participate and have fun! With the costumes we were really in the mood to experience the real adventure! We recommend the President’s Suites to all who wish to live a historical experience in a vibrant community. The Lumber Baron’s House was just great for our weekend. We will certainly be back to celebrate our next event!

Last fall we booked the Ferland Suite as my mother is in a nursing home. It was a great experience to be able to take her from the home to an actual home where she felt very comfortable.
It was wonderful to be able to take her in the back door with no steps to climb. She loved the in-floor heating in the kitchen. She told me she felt like a Queen. Her biggest anxiety with being there was worrying that the owners would come home and catch us in their beds 🙂
