City of Temiskaming Shores
The City of Temiskaming Shores is composed of the three former municipalities of Haileybury, New Liskeard and Dymond. The community is located at the head of beautiful lake Temiskaming and is the service and commercial hub of a large agricultural, forestry and mining region. Plenty of activities for those with a love for the outdoors are available.

Town of Cobalt
Cobalt is one of the most interesting small communities in the country. It offers a very unique experience where you can ‘Come for a day and discover a century!’ Cobalt was named Ontario’s most historic town and is a Parks Canada National Historic site. Town of Latchford
With a population of 420, Latchford is the ‘Best Little Town by a Dam Site‘. There is plenty to see and do for the outdoor explorers, history buffs, fishers, hikers, campers, canoe trippers, antique lovers and anybody who loves a good chip stand! Latchford is considered the gateway to the James Bay Frontier and the hiking trailhead of the North.

Town of Temagami
Temagami has been a renowned centre for outdoor & wilderness recreation for over 100 years. Imagine, a world renown canoe destination with its 2400km of canoe routes and 4700km of shorelines; the highest point in Ontario with Ishpatina ridge located on Maple mountain; old growth pine forests where Grey Owl, the naturalist, captured the world’s imagination back in the 1930s. The Fire Tower trail, short hike close to Hwy 11, is a must for the entire family.

Town of Earlton, Armstrong Township
Historically this region has been referred to as Temiskaming’s “Clay Belt” as it is known for a strong agricultural market and is also host to related manufacturing industries and specialized service companies. The most fertile stretch of agricultural property in the “north” will provide you with breathtaking farmlands views and is a place where you will meet great people.

Village of Belle Vallée, Casey Township
Belle Vallée rests against the Québec border and as a result is a diverse mix of both French and English culture. It is the home or rich farmland, an old mine, an amazing church and the Blanche River.

Town of Engelhart
A little town with a big heart! Its history is based ont he arrival of the Temiskaming and Northern Ontario Railway back in 1905. Situated beside the Engelhard River, the town offers nearby access to the Engelhard River hiking trail which leads to Kap-Kig-Iwan Provincial Park . A hike in the park is a must with the several series of white-water rapids, rugged rock outcrops and deep ravines.

Town of Elk Lake
Elk Lake is situated at the point where the Bear Creek flows into the Montreal River offering beautiful scenery at all times. The town boasts a significant number of tourists camps and lodges. The great Montreal River beckons those who love the outdoors to come and explore the scenic canoe routes and vast array of fishing opportunities. The jewel of the community is the Eco Centre Conference Centre.

Municipality of Notre-Dame-du-Nord (Quebec)
Notre-Dame-du-Nord is located on the Ontario-Quebec border at the northern end of lake Temiskaming. It is best known for it’s annual truc drag race event called Rodéo du Camion Rodéo du Camion which attracts 50,000 spectators each year. Another popular family attraction is the Fossilarium , a museum and research institution dedicated to the fossils of the Temiskaming region.

Town of Ville-Marie (Quebec)
Ville-Marie is the largest city of the Temiskaming region on the Quebec side. It is located just across Haileybury, on the other side of the lake. The major attractions found in Ville-Marie are the Maison du Frère Moffet, the Parks Canada Fort Témiscamingue and the annual Foire Gourmande which attracts over 30,000 every year. If you are looking for a great french bistro like you would find in Montreal, take a drive to Ville-Marie and you won’t be disappointed. If you are looking for an afternoon drive, a stop at the Chocolat Martine chocolate factory is a must.
In 2012, the town of Ville-Marie was voted Quebec nicest village by La Presse. Here is a link to the article (n french) published in La Presse. Imagine, you are just a 40 minutes drive from one of the nicest place in an entire province!
