People and Places
Every region has special and unique people and places. Too often, their stories remain untold only known by a few. We would like to share the stories of these people and places through our Destination Temiskaming Blog. We can think of our famous people like C.C. Farr, Father Charles Paradis, ‘Big Pete’ Farah, and other great legends of the Temiskaming region. But we also have recent people and places that help us make what Temiskaming Shores and other communities around Lake Temiskaming are today. We can think of Highway Book Store, The Cobalt Flea Market, Gillies Truck Stock, the New Liskeard Farmer’s Market, the Cobalt Station, and so many more. These are all unique places with special people.
